A - Note the location and the position of the speaker in the standard hollow coil. Located
at the bottom, sound must travel 19 inches before reaching the ear. The SoundWaves®
UltraLight uses a high quality, moisture resistant speaker that is specifically tuned to
human speech. It is positioned so that the sound is delivered directly up the tube and
only travels 2 inches before reaching your ear. Fact: the speaker used in the
SoundWaves® UltraLight typically outlasts ones used in the hollow coil by 3:1.
B - The SoundWaves® UltraLight is wired through the coil so ambient sound
penetration is reduced. Additionally, sound pinch-off and condensation are eliminated.
C - The SoundWaves® UltraLight uses super elastic tubing, which resists breakdown
due to body acids.
D - Both units are adaptable to the hand crafted and injection molded stock earpieces,
but for maximum comfort on long shifts a custom ear mold can be fitted to these units
